There are four distance seasons in Canmore to enjoy. Alberta receives the greatest number of hours of sunshine per year of any Canadian province. SilverTip is located on sunny side of the Bow Valley, receiving far more daily sunshine than other locations on the South side (i.e. facing North).

Seasonal Temperatures

Winter experiences average temperatures of -3 C (approximately 25 F)

Spring starts in early April and continues through May with temperatures averaging 10 C (approximately 50 F)

Summer continues from May to late September with temperatures averaging 20 C (approximately 70 F)

Fall starts in early October and goes until early December, with temperatures averaging 7 C (approximately 45 F)

Location & Driving Distances

SilverTip is located on the North side of the Trans Canada Highway within the town of Canmore. It is Ideally positioned 90 km (60 minutes) from Calgary and 23 km (20 minutes) from Banff. Canmore provides a focal point for activities with the Rocky Mountains. Lake Louise is an hour away and the Columbia Ice Fields are two and a half hours away.

SilverTip climbs above Canmore from an elevation of 1,310 metres (4,300 feet) to 1,560 metres (5,200 feet), providing an awe inspiring view of the Bow Valley and Canmore.
